Description

These sun catchers were hand pressed from recycled glass using a centuries old technique by the Old Hancock Glassworks, which is located in a historic glass making region of southern New Hampshire. Each piece has a unique character not found in machine made glass.

The beauty of a glass suncatcher comes alive with the dance of sunlight. It transforms the mere rays of the sun into splashes of vibrant colors that cascade around your room, creating a dynamic and ever-changing piece of living art.

About The Old Man of the Mountain
The Old Man of the Mountain, also known as the Great Stone Face, was a series of five granite cliff ledges on Cannon Mountain in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, United States, that when viewed from the north, appeared to form the jagged profile of a face. This iconic landmark was famously depicted on the state quarter, license plates, and numerous travel guides as a symbol of New Hampshire's natural beauty and rugged character. Unfortunately, the formation collapsed in 2003, but the Old Man's legacy continues to live on in the hearts of the state's residents and the many visitors who once gazed upon this natural wonder.
